Retreat Centre Description
The Ignatian Spirituality team at the LJC offers retreat days and retreats in daily life, in person and online, and spiritual direction for lay people and clergy.
The Centre also runs courses and events in theology and social and environmental justice issues. We aim to be of service to the Church in London and beyond by proclaiming the gospel through adult formation. We also run lectures and seminars under the banner of the Heythrop Institute.
The Centre has rooms available for hire suitable for any number between two and eighty people. We also offer overnight accommodation in 8 en-suite single and double rooms for Church related individuals and groups.
We are also home to the Heythrop Library (established 1614), one of the largest collections of theology and philosophy in Europe. The Library is open to researchers, academics, students, and those with a serious interest in theology, philosophy and related disciplines.

Lent Retreat in Daily Life
Lent is an invitation to follow Jesus into the desert and wrestle with and strengthen our truest identity, to make space in our lives for what is most important and to come to a place of greater reliance on God and trust in God’s love.This is an Ignatian retreat in the midst of daily life. If you can find between 15-20 minutes to pray each day during Lent, and approx. 30-40 minutes to meet weekly with a retreat guide then you have the time you need.
