The Fold at Sanctum Retreats

The Fold is a luxury self-contained lodge nestled on the border of England and Wales with stunning views of the tranquil Golden Valley and Black Mountains. Surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape, it offers the perfect environment for a peaceful retreat. On one level, accessed by just one small step.

Ideally located for exploring the ancient local landscape, towns and villages, of the Welsh Marches - Hereford, Hay-on-Wye (town of books), Ross-on-Wye, Abergavenny, and a little further afield, the Brecon Beacons.

Lots of interesting scenic walks from the gate which include: The Herefordshire Trail and St Thomas Way Pilgrimage. Many castles, historic sites, gardens, and a vineyard, are nearby, including The Mappa Mundi at Hereford Cathedral, and a Knights Templar Church at Garway (3 miles away).

Guests are invited to join in a silent meditation at 9.00am Mon-Fri mornings.

Spiritual Direction is also available (either during stay or online before or after).

The garden and grounds are open to day visitors for quiet reflection on the last Friday of each month (excluding August and December)

with Midday Meditation held at 12noon.

Host Tina Jefferies, is an experienced retreat leader, published author, and teacher of meditation in the Christian tradition.

Open throughout the year, including Christmas and New Year.

Bursaries are offered to those who would otherwise be unable to stay. Also, a 10% reduction in charges is offered to those in full-time ministry positions.
