Retreat Centre Description

Situated in central London it is hard to imagine a more peaceful urban setting for a group or individual retreat.

St Katharine’s is an extraordinary oasis in which to take time out from daily life for reflection, contemplation, or just to be. It has a rich history of hospitality and we look forward to welcoming you whether you wish to come for a day or to stay overnight. We have the rare privilege of being a few minutes’ walk from the river Thames in the east of London but still just moments from Limehouse DLR station.

A wonderful chance to step out of the city but not to leave it. We offer a variety of private rooms that can be used for retreats by groups or individuals. Our beautiful chapel at the heart of St Katharine’s is open for use at all times. A space of warmth, light and architectural beauty, it inspires thoughtfulness and tranquillity. The chapel at St Katharine’s embodies the very spirit which we strive to create. Services are held daily.

We also run regular quiet days throughout the year and Open Reflective Days for individuals.

Please see the website for more details.

During your stay with us you may wish to take a short stroll to St Katharine’s Precinct and the Yurt Cafe. This is our community project building connections with and across communities through conversation, reflection, creative projects, food and art.
