Thie dy Vea
Ballawattleworth House, Tynwald Road, Peel, Isle of Man, IM5 1JP
Retreat Centre Description
This ecumenical Christian retreat house welcomes people from all faith traditions or none. We offer a daily rhythm of prayer, Monday to Friday. Our programme includes quiet days, workshops, private and individually guided retreats (including the full 30-day Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, usually offered in 3 parts of 10 days). Spiritual accompaniment is available on request.
The Isle of Man has a rich heritage of its own unique Celtic and later Viking history. It has a recently established pilgrim route (The Triskelion Way) which takes in places of historical and spiritual significance. The whole island is designated a UNESCO biosphere reserve, and boasts many dark sky sites. Located in the small fishing town of Peel, Thie dy Vea is within easy walking distance of the town centre, the old and new cathedrals, an imposing and beautiful castle and fine beaches.
